By A Correspondent| State prosecutor Michael Reza has told the High Court that granting bail to Jacob Ngarivhume when President Emmerson Mnangagwa is still in charge will result in ‘hell’ in the country.
Opposing the application for bail made by Ngarivhume’s defense counsel of Professor Lovemore Madhuku and Moses Nkomo, Reza said the accused should not be granted bail.
“If Jacob Ngarivhume is freed on bail and find out that President Mnangagwa is still the President of this country, there will be hell.”
Ngarivhume was arrested on the 20th of July and charged with inciting public violence.
He has been languishing in remand prison with previous three efforts to get bail hitting a brickwall.
Meanwhile, the judgement on Ngarivhume’s bail application was reserved to next week Monday or Tuesday.
