Harare(ZimEye)A report that claims Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai married on Monday is not true, ZimEye has been told.
Various reports state that the PM on Monday went into a wedding ceremony with his alleged long-term lover, Locadia Karimatsenga Tembo, at a private ceremony in Mazowe on Monday.
Sources however told ZimEye that the PM “plans” to take legal action against the originators of the rumour.
The report claims that the MDC-T leader arrived at the small village of Christon Bank near Mazowe just after 4PM local time for the alleged traditional ceremony, “accompanied by one of his brothers and more than a dozen aides and paid US$36,000 cash in bride price, before asking Tembo’s family for a wedding which was happily granted.”
But ZimEye was told on Monday night the story was not true as the PM was reported to have spent the whole day in Harare with his spokesman Luke Tamborinyoka.
“I am not aware of that ,” said party spokesman Douglas Mwonzora.
Tsvangirai’s personal aide Ian Makone also denied the alleged story saying that it would have been impossible for the PM to perform a wedding without him knowing it:
“It is not true. He spent the whole day in the office today,” Makone told ZimEye  on Monday night.

Ms Locadia Tembo

Despite this rebuttal, the report claims that Tsvangirai arrived at Mazoe accompanied by up to ten aides:
Tsvangirai arrived at Mazoe “accompanied by one of his brothers and more than a dozen aides”, it claimed.
It was also said that Tsvangirai will soon move in to live with the Ms Tembo:
““She is expected to move in with Tsvangirai shortly and will be on his side on public engagements. In fact they have been playing happy family for a while living in the same house,” it was claimed (ZimEye, Zimbabwe)
